At an early age, Nina knew she wanted a career in television. School presentations were her favorite, and she loved to read, write and tell stories.
Her love for journalism and the arts blossomed in college. Nina graduated from The University of North Texas (UNT), where she received her bachelor’s degree in Print and Digital Journalism, with a double minor in English and Psychology. While balancing college life, Nina also wrote for NTDaily, her campus newspaper. She quickly moved from reporter to senior staff, and in her senior year she became the Editorial section editor. This gave her many exciting opportunities, including press pass coverage of the 2018 SXSW Music and Film Festival in Austin, TX.
Much like her years at UNT, Nina has been working day and night to grow with the KXII family. She started at KXII in June 2018 as a producer, became a reporter after one year, and in 2021 Nina was promoted to weekend anchor where she now also reports during the week.
Nina’s passion for storytelling can be seen in all stages of her life, and she is excited to share that love with the Texoma community.
When she's not at the station, Nina is probably out shopping. She loves spending time with her friends and family, and is always on the look out for the next big scoop. Send news tips her way at email@example.com.
